What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief Mechanic position at City of Riviera Beach?
Summary Objective
Under general supervision, maintain the City's water treatment plant and well system. Under specified supervision, performs inspection, maintenance, servicing, overhaul, and repair of machinery, pumps, motors and other equipment used in operation of water treatment plants and/or raw water wells; and other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED or vocational school graduate (Education will be verified), and six (6) years' experience in mechanical maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment in the operation of water treatment plants, raw water wells or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
One (1) year of lead or supervisory experience is required.
A valid State of Florida CDL Class "B" license driver's license is required.
Water distribution systems level 3 license is highly desirable.
