What are the responsibilities and job description for the SPRAY TECHNICIAN position at City of Riviera Beach?
Summary Objective
Under the supervision of the Stormwater Maintenance Manager, the Spray Technician is responsible for the safe and effective application of herbicides and pesticides to control weeds, pests, and invasive plants on City public grounds, facilities and right of ways. This position requires a strong understanding of integrated pest management principles, chemical application techniques, and equipment operation. The Spray Technician will also perform landscape maintenance duties and interact with the public in a courteous and professional manner.
Minimum Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent (Education will be verified) and one (1) year of experience in
the application of herbicides; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Valid Florida Commercial Driver's License, Class "B" with tanker endorsement.
