Administers, evaluates, facilitates, coordinates, and monitors programs, projects and services for infrastructure construction and renovation projectsCoordinates capital construction activities such as renovations, inspections, permitting activities, project close-outs to ensure all phases of construction projects are completed within specifications and with minimal interruptions to construction scheduleMonitors project activities such as cost, time, material, and schedules to ensure objectives are achieved within budget and timeframes and in compliance with established requirementsConducts daily construction inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, local codes and ordinancesAssists in developing specifications for construction, repair and modification projects and coordinate them with city staff, engineers, architects, and other persons involved in developing project contracts as needed.Researches and identifies program and service opportunities; develops plans and implements strategies to promote effective programs and servicesMaintains manual and electronic files and records to provide up-to-date reference and to comply with regulatory requirements and established guidelinesAssists in compiling construction data and coordinating with city public services, public and private utility companies and expedite the relocation of utilitiesReviews construction related information to ensure completeness of records and insurance claimsAdvises and communicates with staff, clients, the public, and other program stakeholders to provide subject matter expertise and program supportAdvises Project Director, Department Director, and City Management on project issues, opportunities, and statusPrepares, updates, and presents reports, plans, program tracking and status updatesPrepares correspondence or memos, for reference and response to inquiries to provide informationServes as a liaison with internal departments, external service providers, elected officials and the general publicResponds to information requests, inquiries, and complaints and follows up to ensure the issue has been appropriately addressedCommunicates and coordinates regularly with departments to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of operationsProvides policy and procedural informationGreets guests and citizensPerforms other duties as assigned
