The appointee(s) will attend a P.O.S.T. certified basic academy during regular academy hours and any other scheduled departmental and academy exercise and activities. Successful completion of the academy is required to continue employment and be promoted to a Police Officer.DEFINITIONTo perform sworn law enforcement and crime prevention duties involved in the protection of life and property; and to perform a variety of technical and administrative tasks in support of law enforcement services and activities.Applicants selected to participate in the Police Department's testing process will partake in the following: PELLET-B Written Examination: to measure job-related knowledge and abilities.Examination Date: March 20, 2025Performance Test: to evaluate ability to physically perform the duties of positionAgility Test Date: April 1, 2025Oral Interview: to evaluate training, experience, and personal qualificationsInterview Dates: April 8-10, 2025Background Investigation: Candidates who have successfully completed all prior phases of the selection process will be subject to a thorough background investigation.
