Job Summary
The Sprayground Manager manages and supervises the daily sprayground and concession operations at Riverside Park or East Roswell Park Spraygrounds and will supervise approximately two staff members per shift. This position requires the ability to interact positively as an effective member of a working team and be a proven, energetic leader and supervisor. Sprayground Managers are responsible for performing a variety of duties to prepare the sprayground area for the demands of the patrons, daily supervision, and enforcing sprayground rules. This position is also responsible for working in the concession stand, handling money, and as birthday party and private rental attendants. Spraygrounds are open seven days a week from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day. After Labor Day, Riverside Park Sprayground is open weekends through the end of September. Must be available: Late May-August/September, Days, Evenings, Weekends, and Holidays (mandatory).
Essential Job Functions
Education and Experience:
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, and must be able to work in a team atmosphere, display excellent customer relations skills and maintain cash, inventory, and facility controls. Aquatic facilities experience is a plus. Previous positions in a leadership or supervisory/teaching role is preferred. The Sprayground Manager must have an understanding of, or is trainable with, use of aquatic chemicals and systems. General computer skills with experience in Microsoft Word and Excel are required.
Licenses Or Certifications
The work is outdoors in which heat and sun are a factor. Must be able to work with and around pool chemicals and treated water. The work requires the ability to exert light to medium physical effort, will involve lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of weight (5-35 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time outdoors. Tasks also require the ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors, depth, texture, and visual cues or signals. The work requires the ability to communicate orally and at loud volume if needed.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is regularly performed in the exposure of the outdoor elements (heat, sun, rain).

- Routine cleaning of sprayground, concessions, and birthday party pavilion.
- Promotes a safe, clean, fun environment for guests.
- Follows operational procedures and ensures staff compliance.
- Promotes and operates facilities within departmental policies.
- Oversees shift operations and registration/cash management.
- Reports potential mechanical problems.
- Routine light operations of the sprayground systems.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- CPR certified - training will be provided if not currently certified
- Ability to use good judgment at all times and be aware of immediate surroundings.
- Must work closely with co-workers and the public.
- Experiences ongoing concern for all safety and liability issues.
- Ability to deal with other people under stressful situations.
- Should be prepared to work under stressful situations when First Aid or CPR are required.
- Must be dependable, alert, and able to respond to situations quickly and accurately.
