Description
Oversee the daily operation of assigned pool section. Work is performed under immediate supervisor with exercise of judgement in accordance with established policies, procedures, and techniques.
This is a temporary seasonal summer position.
- Preference given for applicants available for the entire summer season. Work hours to include nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed for program operation.
Examples of Duties
All Areas of Assignment
- Responsible for checking facilities, equipment, and reporting any issues to the Pool Manager.
- Forwards incidents to pool manager, reports problems and exercises diligence and prudence in maintaining maximum safety for all patrons and team.
- Assists with in-service training programs for seasonal team.
- Assists with daily inventory of all emergency equipment, office or cleaning supplies, and concessions needed for daily operation.
- Monitor employee daily check-in and check-out.
- Ensures seasonal team submit hours worked in ESS and approve the team’s timesheets by the established deadlines.
Area of Assignment: Lifeguard
- Oversees assigned pool team including assigned daily tasks.
- Responsible for facility counts ensuring adherence to pool capacity limits.
Area of Assignment: Cashier
- Oversees cash handling and seasonal cashier team including picking up money in the morning and counting money at the end of the day.
- Responsible for facility counts ensuring adherence to gate capacity limits.
Experience and Training
- Must be 17 years old.
- Applicants 18 years or older may be assigned to supervise cashiering.
- Two (2) years of related work experience is required.
Certificates and Licenses Required
- Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license.
Pool Supervisors assigned to Lifeguard only:
- Current certification in American Red Cross Lifeguard Training
- American Red Cross First Aid and CPR Training
Preferred:
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Certification
- American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification
