Description
Under general supervision, this position provides maintenance and repair support for water distribution / wastewater collection / stormwater operations.
Posted pay range is the starting salary. Pay rate offered is based on experience.
Examples of Duties
- Provides technical support in consultation with crew leaders on site plans, utility reviews, and locations; performs inspections; ensures an adequate supply of inventories of all parts and equipment.
- Transports equipment and sets up safety zones; instructs staff for job preparation; fixes problems and handles maintenance; cleans up tools, job sites, and safety equipment.
- Checks and maintains equipment, to include fueling; restocks inventory, parts, and supplies.
- Monitors completion of daily assignments.
- Assists crew leader with administrative duties.

Do you possess current Water Class D and Wastewater Collection I licenses issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ)?
Do you possess a valid Texas Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a tank endorsement?
This position requires you to complete the following courses provided by Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) : Work Zone Traffic Control, Flaggers in Work Zones, Introduction to Backhoe Operation, and Skid Steer Operator within one (1) year of employment.
