What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intern - Finance position at City of Round Rock?
The Summer Undergraduate Internship Program with the City of Round Rock is designed to provide an on-the-job opportunity to gain "real world" work experience in a career-related professional workforce environment. This is an administrative internship program.
City of Round Rock Summer Internship Program
Will provide assistance in one of the following financial department areas including accounts payable, budgeting, financial reporting, capital accounting and data analysis.
Projects may include any or all of the following:
- Data entry in payment processing.
- Assisting with audit request for interim audit.
- Digitalization of capital project account files.
- Revenue analysis and data visualization using Microsoft Power BI.
- Preparing budget documents for the FY2021 annual budget process.
- Financial/Budgetary research of neighboring communities for benchmarking purposes.
High School Intern:
- Be enrolled full-time in high school
- Must be classified as a Senior student
- Must have a minimum overall GPA of 2.0 on a scale of 4.0
Undergraduate Intern
- Be enrolled full-time or a recent graduate of an accredited university or college
- Must be classified as an Undergrad student and provide an unofficial transcript and resume
- Must have a minimum overall GPA of 2.5 on a scale of 4.0
Salary : $15 - $17
