Hiring Rate: $24.89 - $28.01 hourly
Full Pay Range: $24.89 - $37.34 hourly
Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:00pm
3-day weekends Friday - Sunday

Under general direction, supervises, leads, and directs small crew in the construction, operation, repair, maintenance and replacement of concrete or asphalt pavement; plans, organizes projects, and performs related work as required. This position works on Capital Improvement Projects funded with bond proceeds. High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in street and alley maintenance, with one year including supervisory experience; or an equivalent of education and experience.Valid Texas Class "A" Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment. Must have Tanker endorsement or be able to obtain within 30 days of being hired. Must have and maintain a good driving record in accordance with the driving standards as established by the City of Rowlett. Must report all traffic citations to his/her departmental Director or his/her designee within two working days of receipt.
Must reside within a 1-hour response time from the Public Works Building; employee will have (6) months from employment date in which to relocate. May be required to be on-call and work nights, evenings and weekends. Must be able to remain on 24-hour call for emergencies and respond as necessary for area of assigned responsibility.
