JOB SUMMARY
The Saco Police Department is currently seeking TWO EXPERIENCED PATROL OFFICERS TO SERVE AS the dedicated School Resource Officers (SRO) to serve as a key liaison between law enforcement and the Saco School Department. The SRO will be assigned to schools within the City of Saco, with one officer typically serving grades K-8 and another assigned to Thornton Academy. The SRO acts as a law enforcement officer as well as supporting school staff in enforcing school policies and rules. The SRO must possess a great degree of common sense and discernment in arriving at the proper disposition of cases involving student issues.
