About the Position

The Saint Paul Police Department is hiring a Property Clerk to join the team.

Here's what you can expect to do in this role :

  • Perform intermediate-level clerical and outside manual work involving the receipt, disposition, and storage of evidence or property.
  • Receive, log, categorize, and store property and evidence impounded by police personnel.
  • Release property and evidence to properly-identified claimants and maintain security of the work area.
  • Collect fees, issue receipts and change, and maintain records of these financial transactions.
  • Take and resolve complaints involved in the storage of evidence and property or refers the matter to higher-level personnel. Perform related duties as required.

Information about the positions

There is one Property Clerk vacancies in the St. Paul Police Department.

Impound Lot : This is a part-time position which may involve working outside in all types of weather conditions. The work schedule is typically three 8-hour shifts per week on average including most weekends.

  • Hours : Shift times are 7 a.m. to 3 : 30 p.m., 3 p.m. to 11 : 30 p.m., and 11 p.m. to 7 : 30 a.m. and will vary from week to week.
  • Location : 830 Barge Channel Road, St. Paul, MN
  • The eligible list created for this position will be used to fill future full-time, part-time, and seasonal / on call vacancies as they become available.

    Must possess and maintain a valid Minnesota Class D Driver's License, or equivalent out-of-state driver's license.
