About the Position
The Saint Paul Police Department is hiring a Property Clerk to join the team.
Here's what you can expect to do in this role :
- Perform intermediate-level clerical and outside manual work involving the receipt, disposition, and storage of evidence or property.
- Receive, log, categorize, and store property and evidence impounded by police personnel.
- Release property and evidence to properly-identified claimants and maintain security of the work area.
- Collect fees, issue receipts and change, and maintain records of these financial transactions.
- Take and resolve complaints involved in the storage of evidence and property or refers the matter to higher-level personnel. Perform related duties as required.

Impound Lot : This is a part-time position which may involve working outside in all types of weather conditions. The work schedule is typically three 8-hour shifts per week on average including most weekends.
The eligible list created for this position will be used to fill future full-time, part-time, and seasonal / on call vacancies as they become available.
