What are the responsibilities and job description for the Citywide and Harriet Island Special Event Staff position at City of Saint Paul?
Do you love working at outside events? Are you looking for a flexible, part-time job? Saint Paul Parks and Recreation is looking to hire up to 7 people as Citywide and Harriet Island Special Events Staff. The position is temporary and part-time.
No experience is necessary, and training will be provided. Work hours vary and include nights and weekends.
Here's what you can expect to do:
- Assist with event operations such as load in/load out, set up/take down, customer service, trash/recycling assistance, and light maintenance
- Supervising and monitoring of events
- Perform light office work
- Prepare event signs
- Evaluate events

At least 18 years old.
Must possess and maintain a valid Minnesota Class D Driver's License, or equivalent out-of-state driver's license.
Ability to lift 25 pounds.
Flexible availability and willingness to work on holidays (Labor Day weekend, July 4th and Memorial Day weekend) is required.
Must be able to attend required virtual training (date/time/location to be determined).
Must have reliable transportation to and from a variety of Saint Paul regional park and trail sites. Experienced bikers are encouraged to apply, as many shifts take place along bike trails.
Must be able to communicate via e-mail and navigate online scheduling system, timecard, and reporting tools.
