Under direction, is responsible for performing supervisory duties over an assigned work shift of parking toll attendants. This position is also responsible for overseeing the daily collections of large amounts of money. Exercises direct supervision over assigned staff.
This position is an "unclassified" position and has no disciplinary appeal rights to the Municipal Civil Service Commission. This position is likewise subject to at-will employment status and can be terminated at any time for any reason.

Work Schedule
- Work hours and shifts will vary based on department needs
- Shifts include days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays as needed
- Some events will be mandatory for staff
- Prepares shift work, and schedules assignments for Parking Attendants.
- Supervises, trains, and evaluates assigned employees.
- Prepares daily collection report for money collected, accounts for all change funds, and maintains cash control; may conduct audits and account for all vehicles entering/exiting parking facilities.
- Resolves customer complaints and conflicts, often speaking with and carefully listening to them to address their concerns.
- Prepares change fund for the next shift.
- Makes periodic inspections to ensure proper employee performance and communicates using a two-way radio when needed.
- Coordinates the opening and closing of parking lots.
- Spot checks upkeep of parking facility and reports problems.
- Prepares written activity reports on assigned shift.
- Supervises the maintenance of work areas to ensure safe and efficient place.
- Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (recognized by the Texas Education Agency or a regional accrediting agency).
- One (1) year of supervisory or lead worker experience in a customer service related field.
Applicant Information
- Unless otherwise stated, applicants are permitted to substitute two years of related full-time experience for one year of higher education or one year of related higher education for two years of experience in order to meet the minimum requirements of the job. One year of full-time experience is defined as 30 or more hours worked per week for 12 months. One year of higher education is defined as 30 credit hours completed at an accredited college or university.
