Under general direction, is responsible for performing professional human resources work in the Employee Wellness Division of the Human Resources Department. Assists the Sr. Human Resources Analyst in the implementation of City employee wellness events and initiatives. In coordination with the Sr. Human Resources Analyst implements activities and generates correspondence to achieve goals and objectives related to employee health and wellness, and markets the wellness program to all City of San Antonio employees. Working conditions are primarily in an office environment. May exercise supervision over assigned clerical staff.

- Promotes and implements wellness program benefits and initiatives to City employees by organizing annual events and monthly education sessions
- Communicates with multiple vendors and organizations regarding current and prospective health and wellness initiatives.
- Consults with other departments on various ways to increase wellness initiatives.
- Develops a variety of digital content designed to promote health and programming resources.
- Implements evidence-based employee wellness benefits and initiatives to help employees improve and maintain their health.
- Encourages employees to become accountable for their own health to improve their overall well-being and to balance health care costs to the City and its employees.
- Researches and analyzes data to obtain information for formulating projects, plans, surveys, reports, strategies, forecasts, and trends.
- Provides technical assistance to employees in other City Departments concerning various wellness initiatives via phone, e-mail, and in person.
- Prepares reports, presentations, program plans, and statistical analysis utilizing Microsoft Office Suite.
- Assists their division leader with projects and special assignments.
- May be required to coordinate and supervise the work of other employees.
- Prepares detailed reports and general correspondence.
- Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with preferable coursework in Human Resources, Public Administration, Business or other related field.
- Valid Class 'C' Texas Driver's License.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with preferable coursework in health promotion or related field.
- Two (2) years of responsible experience with a health or wellness program.

- Unless otherwise stated, applicants are permitted to substitute two years of related full-time experience for one year of higher education or one year of related higher education for two years of experience in order to meet the minimum requirements of the job. One year of full-time experience is defined as 30 or more hours worked per week for 12 months. One year of higher education is defined as 30 credit hours completed at an accredited college or university.
