About the Role :
Join the as the Public Safety Media Services Program Manager, leading the charge in delivering accurate and consistent messages about San Diego's Fire-Rescue Department. Under the guidance of the Communications Department Director, you'll collaborate with the Mayor's Office, City Council, and various city departments to develop strategic communications plans and impactful outreach campaigns. This role involves serving as a liaison with the mass media, crafting and managing content across multiple platforms, coordinating public outreach, and managing crisis communications during emergencies. The Communications Department educates and engages the public and City employees, overseeing the City's website and social media content, responding to media inquiries, and producing engaging videos and printed materials.
