Childcare staff are an integral part of the Recreation Department, supporting before and after school care at local school sites. Childcare staff work in a team to provide quality care for children in grades TK - 6th, leading activities, building relationships, and making memories.

Hours per week : varies, up to 30 hours with flexible options for scheduling. Programs open Monday - Friday, additional opportunities are available within other Parks and Recreation programs if desired. Early morning, mid-day or afternoon shifts available.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED :

Employees in this classification work under direct supervision of the Childcare Site Specialist.

Child Care Teachers and Head Teachers are needed to :

• Lead planned activities for groups of school-age children (art, games, science, cooking and more!)
• Work with a team to ensure all children are accounted for and safe at all
• Communicate with co-workers, kids and families in a positive manner
• Maintain a clean and sanitary environment

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

An equivalent combination of education and experience.
