Job Summary:
The Procurement Analyst supports procurement operations for the City of Sandy Springs by ensuring efficiency, compliance, and cost-effectiveness in purchasing activities. This role is responsible for analyzing procurement data, assisting in bid processes, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring adherence to governmental regulations and internal policies. The incumbent will facilitate purchase orders, assist in Open Records Requests (ORR), perform P-Card reconciliations, and lead surplus activities. Additionally, this position will help develop procurement training materials, conduct internal audits, and serve as a point of contact for procurement inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis: Analyze procurement data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for process improvements.
- Process Improvement: Evaluate current procurement processes and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, transparency, and accountability.
- Formal Bidding: Manage the formal bidding process for the assigned procurement category.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and presentations for Purchasing Director and other senior management, highlighting procurement activities, savings, and strategic initiatives.
- Purchase Order Processing: Process and liquidate purchase orders to ensure timely and accurate procurement transactions.
- Open Records Requests: Facilitate and process Open Records Requests (ORR) in accordance with legal and policy requirements.
