REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : The following qualification(s) MUST be met and clearly detailed in the application form on or before the last filing date :
- Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees with a master’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management or a closely related field OR
- Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management or a closely related field and two (2) years of full-time paid experience in human resources, which shall include day-to-day personnel administration and / or civil service administration. Experience must include human resources data entry, processing and report-running; benefits administration and / or payroll OR
- Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees with an associate’s s degree Business Administration, Human Resources Management or a closely related field and four (4) years of full-time paid experience in human resources, which shall include day-to-day personnel administration and / or civil service administration. Experience must include human resources data entry, processing and report-running; benefits administration and / or payroll OR
- Graduation from high school and six (6) years of full-time paid experience in human resources, which shall include day-to-day personnel administration and / or civil service administration. Experience must include human resources data entry, processing and report-running; benefits administration and / or payroll.
DUTIES : This position performs a variety of moderately complex tasks relating to the administration of district health, dental and vision policies. Tracks changes and analyzes reporting, develops and implements procedures to promote efficiency and compliance. The incumbent assists subscribers with enrollment, policy changes, claims, and terminations, including payroll deductions and retiree billings. Assists with processing payroll as necessary. Does related work as required.
