SALARY : 2024 $55,966 NYS Retirement; Health, Dental, Vision Benefits; Earned paid time off; CSEA Union; Yearly increases
LOCATION : Saratoga Springs City Hall Finance Department
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : The following qualification(s) MUST be met and clearly detailed on the application form on or before the last filing date :
- Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate’s Degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration or Business Management and TWO (2) YEARS full time paid experience in maintaining financial records and accounts, OR
- Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered business school and TWO YEARS of full time paid experience in maintaining financial records and accounts; OR
- Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and FOUR YEARS of full time paid experience in maintaining financial records and accounts.
DUTIES :
- The work involves the responsibility for performing various moderately difficult financial and accounting duties and a general understanding of specific laws, office rules, policies and procedures.
- The work is performed under general direction the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of Finance and the direct supervision of the Director of Finance with leeway allowed for the use of independent judgment in carrying out the details of the work in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Supervision of others is not a responsibility of this position. Does related work as required.
