Job Description
We are seeking a Retail Service Representative to work in our municipal off-sale liquor operation. This is a part-time position that requires routine difficulty and involves interacting with customers, operating a cash register, and performing various tasks related to retail service.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and operate the cash register in selling liquor store merchandise.
- Verify age identification of customers, code sales category, make change, bag merchandise, and carry heavy merchandise as necessary.
- Assist customers in selecting merchandise and advise them on proper use.
- Help prevent shoplifting and maintain a secure shopping environment.
- Stock and price merchandise, perform routine maintenance and cleaning work, and check receipts at the end of the shift.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, or any combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- At least 21 years old.
