What are the responsibilities and job description for the Enterprise Application Portfolio Manager position at City of Scottsdale?
Promotes strategic alignment between the applications and the goals of the business through application portfolio cataloging and management. Also, provides management and leadership to technical staff responsible for the development and implementation of assigned enterprise applications.
Anticipated starting salary for this position may be up to mid-point depending on candidate’s experience and internal equity. The full salary range is listed above and mid-point for this position is $118,164.80 annually.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited educational institution.
- Three years of responsible experience managing IT environments and projects which includes at least one year of Lead or Supervisory experience in the IT field.
- Any equivalent combination of education and/or job-related experience that meets the minimum qualifications may be substituted.
- Every person employed by the City of Scottsdale shall reside in the State of Arizona during his or her active employment by the City, regardless of whether the employee is approved to remote work.
- Supervises employees and coordinates personnel-related activities to include, but not limited to training, approving work schedules, recommending/approving personnel actions, coaching and counseling, establishing performance goals, and writing performance evaluations.
- Works with staff and departments to develop product strategy, vision, and roadmap for software systems and solutions.
- Works closely with departments and business process partners to advise on product capabilities and enhancements, ensuring delivery and support of the product through its lifecycle.
- Directly manages a small portfolio of enterprise applications.
- Provides project management expertise to coordinate and implement division or citywide systems and projects; program/system evaluation and organizational analysis; monitoring of procedures and methods; preparation of oral and written findings and recommended actions.
- Performs market research and competitive analysis by keeping abreast of new developments in the industry and provides recommendations on how new and emerging technologies ought to be implemented.
