What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Beach Manager position at City of SeaTac?
Have a fun summer at the lake with us! We are looking for outgoing people to join our summer staff from May to mid-September.
Under the supervision of the Recreation Supervisor and Aquatics Coordinator, this seasonal position assists in the management of the aquatics program at Angle Lake Park; supervises public activities; ensures patron safety; helps supervises lifeguards; and maintains equipment and grounds.
Work Hours: up to 40 hours per week; hours will vary and include weekdays and weekends and the 4th of July holiday.Angle Lake opens 12:00 p.m., - 8:00 p.m.

- Supervise aquatic activities at Angle Lake Park; ensure activities are proper and appropriate. E
- Provide a safe environment for the public and staff; supervise swimmers; render assistance and first-aid to accident and injury victims; rescue persons in distress; maintain order and discipline. E
- Help supervise, train, and evaluate staff; help ensure efficient and effective utilization of program resources. E
- Maintain aquatic equipment in good working order; ensure the beach is kept neat, clean and litter free. E
- Provide high quality customer service to all patrons.E
- Provide information to the public concerning recreation programs, policies, regulations, and schedules; answer participant inquiries in-person and over the telephone. E
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of eighteen (18) years of age.
- Two (2) years’ experience as a lifeguard.
- Supervisory experience in an aquatics program preferred.
- A combination of experience and training that provides the candidate with the knowledge and skills to perform the job will be considered
- Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, First Aid, CPR and AED.
Salary : $31 - $39
