The Commercial Customer Engagement Program Intern supports customer engagement initiatives for City Light’s commercial customers. This role will schedule customer meetings and assist the Lead PM on strategic planning, communication, and follow-up. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for fostering customer relationships.

Internship Duration and Hours: Year-long: The timeframe of this internship will be one year in duration, with either a May (semester schools) or June (quarter schools) 2025 start date. Working hours are up to 40 per week during the summer, and a max of 20 per week during the academic year.
Hybrid Work: The City has the expectation that interns will be readily available to report to onsite at work in Seattle in accordance with the current Mayoral mandate of a minimum of 3 days per week. Additional in-person work requirements are based on business need and determined by the hiring authority.

Project(s) Scope:
- Meeting Schedules- Develop and maintain a master calendar for recurring customer meetings, ensuring timely communication with participants.
- Meeting Invitations and Agendas - Create professional and customized invitations and detailed agendas for each meeting.
- Pre-Meeting Surveys - Design and distribute pre-meeting surveys to gather customer insights and tailor meeting content.
- Post-Meeting Surveys and Reports - Administer post-meeting surveys, compile feedback, and generate detailed reports with actionable recommendations.
- PowerPoint Presentations - Produce polished and engaging presentations that effectively convey meeting objectives and topics.
- SME Coordination Plan - Develop a system to recruit, schedule, and prepare internal SMEs for their roles in customer meetings.
- Meeting Documentation - Record meeting notes, action items, and key takeaways, and distribute them to stakeholders promptly.
- Process and Systems Documentation - Create a detailed, repeatable system for organizing and executing customer meetings, including templates and process guidelines.
- Customer Engagement Metrics - Track and report on engagement effectiveness, including survey participation rates, customer satisfaction scores, and attendance.
- Improvement Plan - Present periodic improvement plans based on feedback and engagement outcomes to refine the overall process.
Required Qualifications:
Graduate students will need to maintain a 3.0 GPA or above throughout the internship.
Areas of Study:
- Enrolled in an accredited graduate program during their internship.
- Enrolled in an academic program with focus on Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Project Management, Energy Management, Environmental Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics or related field.
You will be successful if you have the following experience, skills, and abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Familiarity with survey tools and data analysis techniques.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with internal SMEs.
