The Environment, Generation and Technical Business Unit is hiring a Sr. Management Systems Analyst (MSA) to help provide support for City Light’s Work & Asset Management System (WAMS). This position will be part of the Work Management team, reporting to the WM Manager. This team is responsible for administering the WAMS application which involves providing business side support (user set-up, data analysis, process improvement, etc.) for its users.
This position will report to Carl Barnard, Manager of Work Management.
- Provide user support for than 500 WAMS users and nearly 1000 employees that utilize the WAMS time entry (TE) system, including:
Act as a liaison with the WAMS “champions” in different departments throughout City Light
Provide training to new users on basic WAMS and WAMS (TE) functionality
Assist in developing and implementing a WAMS data audit process
Act as a team of WAMS administrators providing user support through setup and basic troubleshooting
Performing data analysis to support reporting and data visualization efforts
Application and process troubleshooting
Minimum Qualifications
Requires three years of experience in systems, operations, procedures, research or analysis and a bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, finance, computer science or a related field (or a combination of education, training or experience that provides an equivalent background required to perform the work of the class).
Desired Qualifications - You will be successful if you have the following experience, skills, and abilities:
- Experience working with disparate groups (e.g., IT, engineering, project management, generation and operations etc.)
- Experience providing training related to software applications and business processes
- Experience documenting functional and technical requirements and specifications
- Experience using work and asset management applications (e.g., Oracle WAM, Maximo, SAP)
- Experience working on large application project teams
- Ability to build data visualizations and reports using tools such as Tableau, Cognos, MS Power BI
- Ability to problem solve and create self-motivated solutions
- Ability to analyze data using SQL and Excel
- Knowledge of hydro asset data and data flows
- Current Washington State Driver’s License and a desire to perform site visits to remote generation sites for meetings and training.

The full salary range for this position is $54.28 to $63.26 per hour.
