About this position:

Seattle Center is seeking a benefit-eligible, Term Limited Temporary (TLT) Senior Event Service Representative who is highly skilled professional to facilitate, with cultural competence, the advancing and oversight of public and commercial events produced internally and with 3rd party partner organizations.  This position will prepare event service orders, ensure client compliance with conditions of contract agreements as well as reviewing and communicating event information to operational staff.  This position is expected to last through December 31, 2026 and reports to the Campus and Event Servicing Manager.  

Here is more of what you will be doing:


  • Analyze and determine event specific requirements through effective communications with clients.
  • Coordinate and direct Seattle Center personnel engaged in providing event services and support including stage, sound, maintenance, and admissions staff. 
  • Act as event liaison with Seattle Police and Fire Departments.
  • Work effectively in strong cross-functional relationships within Seattle Center. 
  • Prepare billing statements, create event orders, and disseminate information to the applicable Seattle Center departments.
  • Participate in Event Management Team planning and take responsibility for assigned special projects and facility initiatives. 
  • Serve as a Seattle Center Duty Manager. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a minimum of two years of professional experience in facility management, theater production or business, and a baccalaureate degree in Business Administration, Theater Arts (or a combination of education and/or training and/or work experience which provides the ability to perform the work of the class).


License, Certification, and Other Requirements:


  • Valid driver's license or equivalent mobility.


You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • In-depth knowledge of and experience in the event management industry including experience with conferences, trade/consumer shows, concerts, large scale walks and runs, large scale festivals, as well as smaller scale community events.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and unflappable professionalism who is detail oriented and adept at problem solving under pressure.
  • 3 years’ experience working in a union environment.
  • Lived experience interacting with a diversity of people that is reflected in excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proven ability to effectively collaborate with and direct a wide range of individuals while interacting in a positive, respectful, and productive manner.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel and Visio/CAD.
  • Ability to learn and use in-house event management system. 
  • The willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Excellent customer service skills.


Work Environment/Conditions:

  • Requires extended periods of walking and standing.
  • Must be willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Variable hours depending on event schedule.

This position is currently budgeted for 40 hours/week.

The full pay range for this step-progression position is $45.74 - $53.27 per hour. New employees begin at Step 1 of the pay progression, which is $45.74 hourly.
