Job Summary:
The City of Seymour is seeking a reliable and customer-service-oriented Pro Shop Attendant for the Salt Fork Recreational Complex. This part-time position is responsible for assisting with sales, maintaining clubhouse cleanliness, and performing light labor duties as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, be detail-oriented, and be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:Sales & Customer Service:
- Greet and assist golfers with check-ins and purchases.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system for green fees, merchandise, and concessions.
- Provide information about golf course policies, events, and promotions.
- Maintain a friendly and professional atmosphere for all patrons.
Cleaning & Maintenance:
- Ensure the clubhouse, pro shop, and restrooms are clean and well-stocked.
- Wipe down tables, counters, and equipment regularly.
- Assist in keeping outdoor areas, such as patios and entryways, clean and inviting.
Light Labor & Facility Upkeep:
- Stock and organize merchandise, food, and beverage supplies.
- Assist with basic facility maintenance tasks, such as emptying trash and minor repairs.
- Help set up and break down for golf course events and tournaments.
- Occasionally assist with outdoor tasks, such as refilling water stations or cleaning golf carts.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, or food service preferred.
- Basic math and computer skills for handling sales transactions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. and perform light labor tasks.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Work Schedule & Compensation:
- Part-time position with flexible scheduling.
