The Finance Internship is a seasonal position that will assist the City's Finance Department with a variety of duties related to accounts receivable, accounts payable, budgeting, and payroll. This internship is a great opportunity for students to learn more about Municipal Government and Finance processes. The hiring range for this position begins at $16 per hour for current college students, and $17.50 per hour for graduates of a Bachelor's program.

Work Schedule
This is a seasonal position and generally works 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (excluding holidays), but may vary from 20 - 40 hours per week.

Position Responsibilities
- Assist Finance staff with budget and Annual Comprehensive Finance Report (ACFR) analysis, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll analysis, and other projects as assigned.
- Assist Finance staff with sales tax reporting and analysis.
- Attend selected budget or other financial meetings as needed for project background and as an educational experience.
- Assist Finance staff in other areas as assigned.
- Limited interaction with the public, contractors, vendors, other departments of the City and other governmental and non-governmental agencies.
- High School Diploma required.
- Minimum two (2) years of college coursework in accounting or general business.
