What are the responsibilities and job description for the Neighborhood Ambassador Volunteer position at City of Sheridan?
THIS IS AN UNPAID VOLUNTEER POSITION
Under the direction and supervision of the Public Information Officer (PIO), the Neighborhood Ambassador Volunteer serves as the local point-person in their neighborhood on behalf of the city. This volunteer position will be an informed source of beneficial services and programs including events, projects, and initiatives that require public input to be shared with residents. In addition, this position will coordinate and provide information to residents of the city about essential and relevant data or issues about neighborhoods that residents would like to share with the city.
- Understanding the role and responsibilities as well as complying with the safety regulations of the city.
- This position is an extension of the city, and the volunteer is expected to remain professional and respectful during all interactions.
- Completing the relevant training and asking questions if uncertain about anything.
- Responding to e-mail communications from the city within 48 hours of receiving.
- Completing all duties assigned by the supervisor and reporting any issues immediately.
- Communicating with the supervisor when you are running late or unable to fulfill your duties.
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
- Other duties as assigned.
