DESCRIPTION
We're looking for enthusiastic, creative people to work in our playground program this summer. Our Adventure Quest Lead Camp Counselors and Assistant Camp Counselors work at great park facilities using progressive curriculum development. Staff work in teams at several different parks throughout Shoreview and supervise field trips to create a great place for kids to spend summer days.
DUTIES INCLUDE
Lead Camp Counselor
Organize games, crafts, songs, and other activities for the summer Adventure Quest Playground program
Engage children in activities
Communicate with parents
Ensure children are supervised at all times
Be familiar with and follow all safety and emergency procedures
Other duties as assigned
Assistant Camp Counselor
Assist the Lead Counselor to engage children in activities
Ensure children are supervised at all times
Be familiar with and follow all safety and emergency procedures
Communicate with parents
Prepare and serve snacks
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Lead Camp Counselor
Experience working with children and elementary coursework desired. Training provided
Must be age 18 or older
Assistant Camp Counselor
Previous experience working with children desired. Training provided
Must be age 15 or older
OTHER
Lead Wage : $15.50 - $17.50 per hour (depending on qualifications and experience)
Assistant Wage : $13.50 - $15.50 per hour (depending on qualifications and experience)
Hours : Weekday, daytime hours, June through mid-August
Must be available to work Thursday, July 17 Family Fun Night event)
