Works under general direction where responsibilities are to inspect, troubleshoot and oversee all operations systems, including HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, at a various locations. The Certified Maintenance Technician will be expected to coordinate and complete all work orders as assigned. In particular the Certified Maintenance Tech. will be expected to perform routine maintenance and repairs of all HVAC, boiler, heating, refrigeration, water, plumbing, energy and electrical systems. The Certified Maintenance Technician will also be responsible for general maintenance including but not limited to repairs on toilet facilities; replacement of lamps and cleaning of light fixtures; replacement of ceiling tile; minor repairs to floors or furniture, maintaining, repairing or replacing door hardware; maintenance painting in equipment rooms, cooling tower or other building facilities; replacement of filters in HVAC equipment; general cleaning in mechanical spaces; cleanup of equipment in engine room and shop; miscellaneous handyman work requiring the use of hand tools

Physical Requirements: Position may require moderate to extensive stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions, along with some combination of climbing and balancing; may be subject to sitting for prolonged periods of time at a keyboard or workstation. Position requires abilities to consistently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, 50 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally, ability to speak clearly, hear normal conversations and see small details.Work Environment: Work is performed outdoors and indoors with exposure to noise, dirt, grease, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, fumes, animals, insects, chemicals, treated/untreated sewer, water, inclement weather, machinery with moving parts requiring use of protective devices, computer screens and operation of a motor vehicle.
