Organizes and/or supervises the functions of several activities or special projects.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Water and Sewer: Supervises the activities of one or more crews. May organize and or supervise the functions of several activities or special projects. May operate tractor, land grading equipment and weed eaters. Implements approved work, training, and safety programs. Ensures safety procedures are followed in the loading, movement and unloading of assigned equipment. Submits work and time reports and maintains related records. Orients and trains workers. Initiate requests for tools, equipment and supplies. Directs workers and may participate in the maintenance and repair of driveways, walks, roads, benches, swings, fences, lawns and in other activities such as spraying, pruning, planting and removing litter pick up in parks, boulevards and municipal grounds. Performs other duties as assigned or required.Maintains job safety standards (personal protection equipment, etc.); complies with City of Shreveport vehicle safety rules; trains new team members on safe work practices. Regularly attends required safety, job related and certification training classes as required.

Physical Requirements: 1. Tasks involve sedentary to light work, involving some reaching, handling, fingering and/or feeling of objects and materials; involve the ability to exert light to moderately heavy physical effort, but which may involve some combination of climbing and balancing stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. 2. May involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate to moderately heavy weight (12-50 pounds).3. Some tasks require odor, texture and visual perception and discrimination.4. Job must be performed with or without accommodations. Work Environment: 1. Some tasks may require exposure to strong odors, toxic/poisonous agents, insects, smoke, dust, pollen and disease/pathogens. Travel: Work will be required locally from location to location to accomplish job assignments and visit job sites.
