Maintains the budget of their assigned work area by ensuring that all paying documents are paid correctly and in a timely manner.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
1. Proofreads and approves invoice and purchase order documents before sending them for signature.2. Reconciles budget items; prepares financial reports and spreadsheets; monitors Transaction Register sent from Finance Department; records all monetary transactions.3. Reviews budget on a daily basis and sides in preparation of next year's budget. Monitors control payments.4. May supervise any assigned employees.5. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Physical Ability: 1. Tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work.2. May involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds).3. May involve extended periods of time at a keyboard, 10-key calculator or work station. 4. Requires visual perception and discrimination and ability to communicate orally.5. Must be performed with or without accommodations.Work Environment: 1. Tasks are regularly performed in an office environment.2. May be limited to exposure to extreme weather conditions.3. May have normal exposure to dirt, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, humidity, rain, fumes, temperature and noise. Travel: Travel may be required locally from location to location to accomplish job assignments.Career Progression: Any higher class or level for which eligible and qualified.
