What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor P.W. position at City of Shreveport?
The Supervisor, Public Works serves as the principal assistant to the Chief Supervisor, Public Works and assists in an implements approved work, training and safety programs.
2. Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to perform assigned tasks.
3. Basic computer skills required, preferably in warehouse management systems. Ability to plan initiate, and execute programs; ability to interpret and apply approved policies and procedures; verbal facility; tact and diplomacy; and ability to promote teamwork among subordinates.
4. Customer service skills.
5. Hold or be able to obtain the specific class certificate that is required depending on assigned division.
6. Five (5) years of experience in the following areas, when the supervisor is for that area:
b) Solid Waste Division - Solid Waste management to include refuse collection, landfill operations, routing procedures, and recycling; driving- operating and/or servicing light and heavy equipment. Holed a current and valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

1. High school graduate or GED the equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited college or university, or 4 years in work experience is preferred.2.
