Job Description
Responsible for working on energized and de-energized distribution lines, building and maintaining underground and overhead systems, and installation of new services.
Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a respectful and professional manner with customers, the general public, co-workers, management and other individuals that you come into contact with during work hours.
Work safely without presenting a direct or perceived threat to self or others.
Adhere to and follow established policies and procedures.
Attendance during regularly scheduled work hours.
Must be able to work more than forty hours, if needed, including evenings and weekends; work may not conform to a schedule of regular eight hour days. Must be able to be on-call.
The Apprentice Lineworker position will need to be enrolled in the Dept of Labor Apprenticeship Program and complete power line training.
The Journey Lineworker position will need to complete a comprehensive apprentice lineworker program.
Minimum Requirements
Must have High School Diploma or GED
Must have CDL-Class B or ability to obtain within 6 months
Good driving record
18 years of age or older
Preferred Qualifications
Merchant Job Training & Safety Program
Department of Labor Lineworker Apprentice Program
Electrical Contractor or Journeyman Electrician License

· Typically work 40 hours per week, Monday thru Friday from 7 a.m. - 4 p.m., with an hour lunch period.
· Department provides fire resistant uniforms
· Bi-weekly pay schedule
