GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Permit Technician is responsible for operation of the front counter; assisting customers; processing permits and licenses; and supporting the plan review and inspection function. Performs administrative and technical work; processes applications for building, and zoning permits; interacts with developers, contractors and general public on related community and economic development issues.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess and maintain a valid State of Ohio driver’s license and must remain insurable under the City’s vehicle insurance policy. Permit Technician Certification from the International Code Council or ability to acquire.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: An example of acceptable qualifications: High school diploma or GED, with course work in general office practices, typing, business math, and related subjects; and two (2) years full time general administrative experience, preferably construction related, including ability to type and use a computer; or any related combination of training and experience.
Salary : $25 - $33
