Job Summary
Siouxland Libraries seeks an outward-focused team member with a heart for serving others. This position is available at the Downtown Library and performs extensive public service to a diverse population with a focus on hospitality, along with programming and support tasks as assigned. Along with public service, this position is responsible for programming with an emphasis on Early Learning. If you take ownership of your work and want to make a difference, please apply.
Additional Skills You Will Need
Graduation from an accredited college or university with course work in library science is preferred; or any such combination of education, experience, and training as may be acceptable to the hiring authority.
Must be willing to work evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays as required.
Positions requiring driving must possess or be able to obtain prior to hire a valid driver’s license.

- Competitive salary with other public and industry positions, including step advancements.
- The City participates in the South Dakota Retirement System. Employees receive a 6% match. Additionally, employees may choose to enroll in a Deferred Compensation Plan.

- 11 paid holidays and 2 personal leave days each calendar year.
- New employees are granted 40 hours of vacation at time of hire and accrue an additional 2 weeks in their first year.
