The City of Sioux Falls, Siouxland Libraries, is accepting applications for a Part-Time Library Support position at the Hartford Library and occasionally the Humboldt Library and/or Crooks Library.
• One position, primarily the Hartford Library, with occasional work at the Humboldt Library, and/or Crooks Library.
• 9-16 hours per week.
• Saturday rotation from 9:00-1:00 p.m. Rotation includes one Saturday in Hartford, one Saturday in Crooks and the third Saturday with no assigned shifts.
• Weekday shifts include Tuesday mornings 8:30-1 p.m. and Thursdays from 2:30- 7:00 p.m.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Staff will perform extensive public service work.
• Successful applicants should have excellent customer service skills and be comfortable assisting a diverse population of customers to effectively use library services.
• Applicants should possess good computer skills, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to do physical work, including lifting and/or moving up to 30-50 pounds of library materials, pushing loaded book trucks, and standing or sitting for long periods of time.
