A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be : Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in criminal justice, police science, public or business administration, or a related field, and five (5) years municipal supervisory experience in police service equivalent to the level of Lieutenant or above.
The annual salary range for the Police Chief is $177,069 - $211,158; placement within this range is dependent upon experience and qualifications. The City also offers a generous benefits package.
