City of Somersworth, NH
The City of Somersworth, NH is accepting applications and resumes for the position of Assessor. This is a full-time 40 hours per week position with a salary range of $72,019-$91,795/$94,549 – effective 7/1/25 depending on experience. The Assessor performs a variety of routine and complex technical, field and office work in the appraisal of commercial, residential, and industrial property. Administers and maintains records of the City’s assessing functions and issuance of warrants for the collection of taxes, exemption from taxes, and abatement of taxes. Candidate must be certified by the NHDRA as an appraiser supervisor or monitor, or other certification as may be required by State Law or Administrative Rule. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in real estate, engineering, architecture, business administration or related field and five (5) years of experience as an appraiser. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
