Responsibilities
The Somersworth Police Department is a professional law enforcement organization seeking to hire qualified candidates for the position of police officer. Responsibilities include patrolling assigned areas to deter criminal activity, responding to emergencies, conducting criminal investigations and collecting evidence, enforcing New Hampshire traffic laws, and engaging with the community to foster positive relationships with the public.

Requirements
Qualified applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, be at least 18 years of age, have 20/20 corrected eyesight, a valid driver’s license, and be able to pass a physical fitness test. The requirements that you need to meet for the fitness test are posted online at the NH Police Standards & Training Council website at www.pstc.nh.gov.
