SALARY: $15/.per hour
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for assisting the Director of Community Programming administratively with the daily operations of the
department as well as engaging in some planning, coordinating, and supervising of programs/activities/events for the
department.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Not applicable.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This list represents the types of duties required by the position. Other duties may be assigned as reasonably expected.
- Assist with all administrative operations of the department, including monthly and yearly reports.
- Assist with Boomer and Reckin’ in the Park Mobile Program
- Responsible for receiving, tracking and compilation of multiple reports and forms relating to the department operations.
- Help with the production and dissemination of printed and electronic marketing of department programs.
- Researches, prepares and submits administrative reports as requested.
- Assist with department events.
- Plans, coordinates, implements and evaluates activities, programs, and/or events.
- Helps department maintain organization and office operations.
- Oversees setup and utilization of specialized software for online program/event/registration, customer relationship management, and data tracking/reporting.
- Responsible for updating and maintaining webpages on the department’s website.
- Helps with marketing of divisional activities, programs, and events

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent education required.
- At least two years’ administrative support experience gained in a high-paced office environment required.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Knowledge of up-to-date principles and practices of youth program planning.
- Knowledge of basic Business Management and Financial Accounting methods.
- Ability to deal effectively with the public; either through individuals or agencies.
- Ability to administrate, coordinate programs, and communicate effectively; both orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of the principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Working knowledge of programming activities related to diverse groups.
- Ability to supervise and coordinate the work activities of personnel; such as training staff members and assigning work duties.
- Ability to think creatively by developing, designing, or creating appropriate programming.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSE, REGISTRATION:
- Valid Driver’s License, or ability to obtain one, required.

- Desktop and laptop computer, calculator, automobile, telephone, copier, facsimile machine, automobile, and recreational equipment.

environment is usually quiet to moderate in the office and moderately loud in the field. Entire facility inside and outside is
smoke free
