What are the responsibilities and job description for the SUMMER CAMP MUSIC INSTRUCTOR position at City of South Fulton?
This position is only for the summer season. The position will only be active from May 28-July 3, with a weekly maximum of 30 hours for instructors.
Duties include:
- instructing music daily through different activities
- developing and producing music pieces for campers
- coordinating and assisting with the production of the weekly culminating show
- always ensuring the safety of all participants
- interacting positively with and establishing productive relationships with staff, camp participants, parents, and guardians
- coordinating and assisting with the production of the weekly culminating show
- implementing disciplinary procedures for students when necessary
- recording daily attendance for all classes
- maintaining a clean work environment
- maintaining equipment
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Arts degree in Music; or a minimum of three (3) years of experience in music from either vocals, woodwind/brass/string instrument, composition, music theory
- 1 year of experience working with children ages 5-12 (paid or volunteer)
