THE OPPORTUNITY
The City is seeking an innovative and customer-focused Community Development Director to join its newest City Manager in leading and shaping the future of the City of South Pasadena. This executive role offers a unique opportunity to drive strategic planning, economic development, and neighborhood revitalization of an evolving city while ensuring smart growth, sustainability and historic preservation.
The Community Development Director is a key member of the City's leadership team responsible for overseeing the Planning and Community Development Department, which includes planning, building, arts and economic development, and code enforcement.
EducationA bachelor's degree in urban planning, public/business administration, or a related field.
Experience
A minimum of five years of progressive experience in municipal planning, economic development, or housing administration, including two years in an executive-level role. A Master's degree is preferred. HOW TO APPLY
