What are the responsibilities and job description for the Storm Water Division Supervisor position at City of South Salt Lake?
Under the direction of the Accreditation/CIP Manager, the Storm Water Division Supervisor is responsible for the management of the Storm Water Management program and Storm Water system maintenance.

Essential Responsibilities And Duties
1.2 Assures regular cleaning and maintenance of storm water lines and storm drain inlet boxes
1.3 Recommends repair/replacement of lines
1.4 Schedules and completes or arranges repair/replacement of lines
1.5 Maintains all records of new equipment installations and maintenance
1.6 Completes required reports
2.2 Assures that the City is in compliance with all requirements of its storm water permit
2.3 Conducts required construction site inspections, dry weather screening, and any other inspections required by the City's storm water management plan and storm water permit.
2.4 Conducts public outreach and training regarding storm water regulations and operations for City personnel and the general public.
4.2 Proceeds with necessary response
6.2 Ensures state and federal laws and regulations are met and maintained
6.3 Monitors employee performance and conducts performance evaluations
6.4 Initiates corrective or disciplinary actions

1.2 Assures regular cleaning and maintenance of storm water lines and storm drain inlet boxes
1.3 Recommends repair/replacement of lines
1.4 Schedules and completes or arranges repair/replacement of lines
1.5 Maintains all records of new equipment installations and maintenance
1.6 Completes required reports
- Oversees City's Storm Water program
2.2 Assures that the City is in compliance with all requirements of its storm water permit
2.3 Conducts required construction site inspections, dry weather screening, and any other inspections required by the City's storm water management plan and storm water permit.
2.4 Conducts public outreach and training regarding storm water regulations and operations for City personnel and the general public.
- Represents the City at the USWAC Committee meetings, Salt Lake County Storm Water Coalition meetings, and other meetings that promote responsible management of storm water.
- Responds to emergency situations such as flooding or hazardous material spills
4.2 Proceeds with necessary response
- Assists in the preparation of budgets for storm water operations
- Supervises and provides general work direction
6.2 Ensures state and federal laws and regulations are met and maintained
6.3 Monitors employee performance and conducts performance evaluations
6.4 Initiates corrective or disciplinary actions

Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in stormwater system operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Must be a Registered Storm Water Inspector
- Must possess a valid state driver's license with CDL endorsement (including Tanker endorsements) or have the ability to obtain one prior to employment
- Knowledge of Environmental Protection Agency and applicable Federal and State government regulations pertaining to storm water management
- Skill in operation and maintenance of pumps, motors, valves, channels, lift stations, storm water mains and laterals
- Ability to log data, prepare reports; ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with business operators, residential representatives, contractors, and regulatory government agencies; ability to supervise personnel and give clear work direction
