The Playhouse Director assists in the oversight of the summer Playhouse Program by creating, organizing, and delivering youth theatre productions to youth in the community. This is a seasonal position and hours of work will vary.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
The job duties and/or essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following: Assist in the planning, organization, and implementation of the Summer Playhouse ProgramPrepare and rehearse script for weekly performancesAssist and recordkeeping including attendance, incident/accident reports, and equipment needsProvide direction to co-workers and patrons in the event of an emergencyPerforms other duties of a comparable level or type, as required
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Knowledge and ability to creatively perform theatre productions for a youth audience. The ability to perform the following work tasks with or without reasonable accommodations.Ability to act out performancesAbility to promote a fun and positive atmosphere for patronsAbility to manage setup/breakdown theatre equipment and/or propsAbility to establish and maintain effective and professional working relationships with patrons and co-workersAbility to be flexible with work hours, work independently, and complete job tasks as assignedAbility to communicate clearly and conciselyWork Environment/Physical Job Requirements: Employee is required to frequently to talk, hear, stand, walk, use hands and fingers dexterously, reach with hands and arms; intermittently sits, stoops, kneels and/or crouches. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Exposure to outside environmental conditions in a variety of weather conditions, and exposure to noise.
