The Senior GIS Analyst provides geographic information support and services through data creation and analysis, map generation, and technical support. This is accomplished by creating, editing, and updating geographic datasets; designing and implementing custom applications; and creating and producing cartographic output. Other duties include providing technical support and assistance to departmental GIS users; interacting with outside vendors, contractors, citizens and city staff; and providing administrative and technical support to management and city staff.

Formal Education: Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or related field required
Experience: Five (5) years of relevant experience is required. Experience in local government/municipality industry is preferred. Experience with Python, Arcade, and ETL tools/processes is also preferred.
Possession of, or ability to obtain, Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP) certification within six (6) months of employment.
