What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temp Seasonal - Corbin Art Center After School Art Assistant position at City of Spokane?
The Assistant helps the art instructor coordinate the Corbin Art Center’s After School Art Program in local schools.
Hours: Up to six (6) hours per week, after school 2:45-4:45pm, additional work may be available in the evenings at the Corbin Art Center for up to 15 hrs. a week.
Location: Various local schools.
The following Responsibilities and Requirements are functions the individual who holds or desires the position must be able to perform unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement program and building safety policies and procedures.
- Attend instructor training and orientation session.
- Work with the public to provide information on the Corbin Center Programs.
- Assess art supply needs and maintain supply storage areas.
- Work with instructor to develop lesson plans, assist with classes, class and art project preparation.
- Cleaning duties as needed.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Must be 18 yrs of age or older
- Highschool/GED graduate
- Ability to lift and carry folding table and chairs
- Some experience working with kids in a learning environment
- Be able to provide own transportation or bus to school location. (Free bus pass when hired)
