Qualified applicants must possess an Associate’s degree (A.A.) from two-year college or technical school and 19-23 months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Starting salary: $37,860

Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
2. Greet patrons, answer directional and informational questions, or refers patrons to Reference or other appropriate staff.
3. Answer incoming phone calls and direct calls to appropriate destinations.
4. Assist with opening and/or closing procedures.
5. Assist with meeting room sign up, use statistics, and other office type functions.
6. Assist patrons on the automated catalog, at internet/word processing computer and with new library card registration.
7. responsibility for providing services in the following areas; reader's advisory, homebound services, serials control, holds, and hardware/software installation and maintenance.
8. responsibility for staffing the Reference Assistant position, providing assistance with both print and non-print resources.
9. responsibility for staffing Children's area on evenings, weekends and other times as needed.
10. Work with Reference staff on Collection Development, including the annual Reference Book order.
11. Provide backup to Reference, Circulation and Children's as needed.
12. Perform other duties as required or assigned.
