Job Standards
The Office of Public Works, Garage Division is seeking current high school students to perform duties under the Inflation Reduction Tree grant. Assist the Community Outreach Arborist in community outreach to marginalized neighborhoods and implement an educational program. Prepare and carry out a community tree walk and learn basic arborist functions. Experience with community organizations is preferred. Candidates will be selected based on the grant agreement. Must be actively enrolled in an accredited high school. Seasonal employment for this position is June through August. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm. Pre-employment background and drug screen are required.
