Job Standards
The Office of Budget & Management, Fleet Management Division is seeking an individual to, under direct supervision at all times for up to a 24 month probationary period, perform routine maintenance and repairs to the Fleet Maintenance Facility equipment. Assist Fleet Technicians with repairs of City Water, Light & Power, Police, Fire and Public Works Department vehicles and equipment and perform other fleet-related tasks. This position requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of high school and completion of at least two years of vocational/technical training in automotive repair, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. Requires possession of a valid commercial driver's license (A, B, or C with specific endorsements may be required) within the apprenticeship period; requires possession of personal hand tools adequate to perform all functions of the job This position is subject to a night shift assignment.
